Students to get practical knowledge of start-up right from problem to solution
Ahmedabad: Around 75 colleges of Gujarat Technological University (GTU) are getting ready to participate in the Summer Innovation Challenge 2017. Total 75 coordinators from GTU affiliated colleges discussed the strategy to implement the Start-up and innovation initiative and how students can be benefitted from that.
Education Department has launched the Summer Innovation Challenge 2017 to involve 1000s of young students with challenges of villages, small industries and society at large. GTU plans to take part in the Summer Innovation Challenge by creating almost 200 teams. Our young students will make Gujarat the hub inclusive, affordable and accessible solutions for not only 6 crore Gujarati but for the whole country. As envisaged by Swami Vivekananda through summer innovation challenge integration of head, heart and hand will happen and compassion of young minds will ignite new creative revolution. Students will get practical knowledge of start-up right from problem identification to solution by integration of design thinking approach, Prof. (Dr) Navin Sheth, Vice Chancellor of GTU said.
In the meeting held at GTU Chandkheda campus, GTU Innovation club coordinators of colleges from Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Mehsana, Patan, Anand, Vadodara, Bharuch, Surat, Navsari, Valsad, Rajkot, Junagadh and Vasad were present. Through this Summer Innovation Challenge program incentives will be given to student teams to spend their summer break to scout challenges and use their knowledge and skill to solve them. Student Start-up and Innovation Policy (SSIP) Gujarat will give financial and other assistance to take some of the best solutions to implementation stage. Best innovations developed by students from colleges, universities and even schools will be given attractive awards/prizes at state level function after completion of the Summer Innovation Challenge program. Education Department wish that best students of our colleges and universities should be involved to solve century old real life challenges through projects and various innovation efforts. Gujarat will do largest efforts of its kind to link young minds with challenges our various stakeholders like industry, academia, governance and others and support student innovation and student start-ups, Bipin J. Bhatt, Registrar of GTU said.
Education Ministry, Govt. of Gujarat has initiated series of interventions to harness creative potential of 14 lac students across 60 plus universities and extending all possible support for their innovation and start-ups. Students are capable to become the country’s largest force of problem solvers and eventually become job creators. From this summer our summer break would be summer of Innovation and creativity. This initiative was announced by hon. Education Minister of Gujarat Shri Bhupendrasinh Chudasama at Viramgam Yuva Sammelan recently under the guidance of hon. Chief Minister Shri Vijaybhai Rupani. GTU will pursue the initiative under design engineering as well as Community Innovation and Co-Creation Center (CIC3), Hiranmay Mahanta, honorary director of GTU Innovation Council said.
જીટીયુની 75 કૉલેજોના વિદ્યાર્થીઓ સમર ઈનોવેશન ચેલેન્જ 2017માં ભાગ લેશે
ગામડાઓ, ઉદ્યોગો અને સમાજની સમસ્યાઓ ઉકેલવા પ્રેકટીકલ તાલીમ અપાશે
અમદાવાદઃ ગુજરાત ટેકનોલોજીકલ યુનિવર્સિટી (જીટીયુ)ની 75 કૉલેજો ગુજરાત સરકારના શિક્ષણ વિભાગે જાહેર કરેલી સમર ઈનોવેશન ચેલેન્જ 2017માં ભાગ લેવા સુસજ્જ થઈ રહી છે. જીટીયુ ચાંદખેડા કેમ્પસમાં ત્રીજી જૂનના રોજ યોજાયેલી બેઠકમાં આ બાબતનો વ્યૂહ ઘડવામાં આવ્યો હતો, જેમાં 75 કૉલેજોના કો-ઓર્ડીનેટરોએ ચર્ચાવિચારણા કરી હતી.
ગુજરાત સરકારના શિક્ષણ મંત્રાલયે જાહેર કરેલી સમર ઇનોવેશન ચેલેન્જ 2017માં હજારો યુવા વિદ્યાર્થીઓએ ગામડાઓની સમસ્યાઓ, નાના ઉદ્યોગોની સમસ્યાઓ અને સમાજના મોટી સમસ્યાઓ હલ કરવાનો પડકાર ઝીલવાનો રહેશે. જીટીયુએ લગભગ 200 ટીમો તૈયાર કરવાની વિચારણા હાથ ધરી છે. આપણા યુવા વિદ્યાર્થીઓ ગુજરાતને ફક્ત છ કરોડ ગુજરાતીઓ માટેનું જ નહિ બલકે સમગ્ર ભારતદેશનું ઈનોવેશન અને સ્ટાર્ટ અપ હબ બનાવે એવી અમને આશા છે. સ્વામી વિવેકાનંદના ઉપદેશની જેમ આ સમર ઈનોવેશન ચેલેન્જ યુવાપેઢીની બુદ્ધિપ્રતિભા અને કામગીરીની મદદથી નવતર સર્જનની ક્રાંતિ સર્જાશે, એમ જીટીયુના વાઈસ ચાન્સેલર પ્રો. (ડૉ) નવીન શેઠે જણાવ્યું હતું.
આજની બેઠકમાં જીટીયુ ઈનોવેશન ક્લબોના કો-ઓર્ડીનેટરો ઉપસ્થિત હતા, જેમાં અમદાવાદ, ગાંધીનગર, મહેસાણા, પાટણ, આણંદ, વડોદરા, ભરૂચ, સુરત, નવસારી, વલસાડ, રાજકોટ, જૂનાગઢ અને વાસદની કૉલેજોના પ્રતિનિધિઓનો સમાવેશ થતો હતો. સમર ઇનોવેશન ચેલેન્જ પ્રોગ્રામ અંતર્ગત વિદ્યાર્થીઓની જે ટીમો પોતાના જ્ઞાન અને કૌશલ્યનો ઉપયોગ કરીને સમસ્યાઓ ઉકેલવામાં સફળ નીવડશે તે ટીમોને પ્રોત્સાહન તરીકે ઈનામો આપવામાં આવશે. સ્ટુડન્ટ સ્ટાર્ટ-અપ એન્ડ ઇનોવેશન નીતિ એટલે કે એસ.એસ.આઈ.પી. ગુજરાત હેઠળ શ્રેષ્ઠ ઉકેલ શોધી કાઢનાર ટીમને નાણાકીય અને અન્ય વિવિધ પ્રકારની સહાય આપવામાં આવશે, એમ જીટીયુના રજીસ્ટ્રાર બિપીન જે. ભટ્ટે જણાવ્યું હતું.
શિક્ષણ મંત્રાલયે રાજ્યની 60થી વધુ યુનિવર્સિટીઓના 14 લાખ વિદ્યાર્થીઓની સર્જનાત્મક ક્ષમતાને પ્રોત્સાહન આપવા અને તેઓના ઈનોવેટીવ અને સ્ટાર્ટ અપ પ્રોજેક્ટોને શક્ય એટલી તમામ પ્રકારની મદદ કરવા શ્રેણીબદ્ધ પગલાં હાથ ધર્યા છે. વિદ્યાર્થીઓ સમસ્યાઓ હલ કરનાર દેશના સૌથી મોટા પરિબળ તરીકે ઉભરે અને છેવટે નોકરીદાતા બને એવો આ પગલાંઓનો મૂળ હેતુ છે. સમર ઇનોવેશન ચેલેન્જ પ્રોગ્રામ પૂર્ણ થયા બાદ કોલેજો, યુનિવર્સિટીઓ અને શાળાઓને વિદ્યાર્થીઓ દ્વારા વિકસાવવામાં આવનારા શ્રેષ્ઠ ઈનોવેટીવ પ્રોજેક્ટોને રાજ્ય સ્તરે આકર્ષક પુરસ્કારો / ઇનામોથી સન્માનિત કરવામાં આવશે. શિક્ષણ ખાતું એમ ઇચ્છે છે કે આપણી કૉલેજો અને યુનિવર્સિટીઓના વિદ્યાર્થીઓ આ કાર્યક્રમમાં મોટી સંખ્યામાં જોડાય અને વાસ્તવિક જીવનની સદીઓ જૂની સમસ્યાઓને શ્રેષ્ઠ ઈનોવેટીવ પ્રોજેક્ટોની મદદથી હલ કરવામાં ઉપયોગી બને. આ વર્ષના ઉનાળુ વેકેશનથી શરૂ થતા આ કાર્યક્રમમાં વિદ્યાર્થીઓને પોતાની સર્જનાત્મકતા અને ઈનોવેટીવ બુદ્ધિચાતુર્ય દર્શાવવાની તક મળશે. યુવાશક્તિ આ તકનો ભરપૂર લાભ ઊઠાવે અને ઉચ્ચ શિક્ષણના તમામ કેમ્પસ ઈનોવેશન તથા સ્ટાર્ટ અપની પ્રવૃત્તિઓથી ધમધમી ઊઠે એવી અપેક્ષા રખાઈ રહી છે. વિરમગામમાં માનનીય મુખ્યમંત્રી શ્રી વિજયભાઈ રૂપાણીના માર્ગદર્શન હેઠળ માનનીય શિક્ષણ મંત્રી શ્રી ભુપેન્દ્રસિંહ ચુડાસમાએ સમર ઈનોવેશન ચેલેન્જ સ્પર્ધા 2017 જાહેર કરી હતી. જીટીયુ ડિઝાઈન એન્જીનિયરીંગ તેમજ કોમ્યુનિટી ઈનોવેશન એન્ડ કો-ક્રિયેશન સેન્ટરના માધ્યમથી તે સ્પર્ધા માટે વિદ્યાર્થીઓને પ્રેકટીકલ તાલીમ આપીને સુસજ્જ કરશે, એમ જીટીયુ ઈનોવેશન કાઉન્સિલના માનદ નિયામક હિરણ્મય મહંતાએ જણાવ્યું હતું.
