Ahmedabad: Gujarat Technological University (GTU) and Vijnanabharati are celebrating National Technology day at GTU Chandkheda Campus, Ahmedabad on 11th May 2017. During this event we will also appreciate some of the efforts by various colleges in supporting student Innovation and similar efforts. During this event, principals, Innovation Club coordinators, innovators, start-ups and other stakeholders of GTU will also remain present, Prof. (Dr) Navin Sheth, Vice-Chancellor of GTU said.
During this program Padmabhushan Dr. V.K.Saraswat, Member NITI Aayog and former Director General of DRDO will be joining as the chief guest and deliver a keynote address to inspire all GTU community. Shri Shreekant Katdare, Author, Vijay Sanket a book on successful Atomic experiment at Pokhran, will also deliver a keynote address during this occasion.
GTU Affiliated colleges who have successfully attempted student innovation/project exhibition involving different stakeholders to promote culture of innovation in respective campus and around will be appreciated during this occasion by the Chief Guest of the event. On behalf of the respective college, the principal/ Innovation club coordinator/Project- innovation exhibition program coordinator may receive the appreciation during this occasion.
During this program GTU Innovation Council will also update about its latest efforts to support student innovation and start-ups and developing a sustainable ecosystem to enable them. Discussion and consultation will also be made involving all participants so that we can co-create a better roadmap with tangible impact in days to come through creativity, innovation & entrepreneurship for GTU’s contribution towards achieving optimum results in national programs like ’Make in India’, ‘Start-up India’, ‘Digital India’ and others by harnessing youth potential.

ડીઆરડીઓના ભૂતપૂર્વ વડા અને પોખરણ અણુ પરીક્ષણ વિશેના પુસ્તકના લેખક ઉપસ્થિત રહેશે
અમદાવાદઃ ગુજરાત ટેકનોલોજીકલ યુનિવર્સિટી (જીટીયુ) અને વિજ્ઞાનભારતીના સંયુક્ત ઉપક્રમે આગામી 11મી મેએ રાષ્ટ્રીય ટેકનોલોજી દિવસની ઉજવણી જીટીયુના ચાંદખેડા કેમ્પસમાં કરવામાં આવશે. સમારોહમાં મુખ્ય અતિથિ તરીકે સંરક્ષણ સંશોધન અને વિકાસ સંગઠન (ડીઆરડીઓ)ના ભૂતપૂર્વ મહાનિયામક અને નીતિ આયોગના સભ્ય પદ્મભુષણ ડૉ. વી.કે. સારસ્વત ઉપસ્થિત રહેશે. પોખરણ અણુ પરીક્ષણ વિશેનું પુસ્તક – વિજય સંકેત – ના લેખક શ્રી શ્રીકાન્ત કટદરે આ કાર્યક્રમમાં મુખ્ય વક્તવ્ય આપશે, એમ જીટીયુના વાઈસ ચાન્સેલર પ્રો. (ડૉ) નવીન શેઠે જણાવ્યું હતું.
આ પ્રસંગે જીટીયુ સંલગ્ન કૉલેજોના પ્રિન્સીપાલો, ઈનોવેશન ક્લબોના કો-ઓર્ડિનેટરો, ઈનોવેટીવ પ્રોજેક્ટો બનાવનાર વિદ્યાર્થીઓ, સ્ટાર્ટ અપ પ્રોજેક્ટ શરૂ કરનાર વિદ્યાર્થીઓ અને અન્યો ઉપસ્થિત રહેશે. સમારોહમાં જીટીયુ ઈનોવેશન કાઉન્સિલના નવા કાર્યક્રમો અને ઈનોવેશન પોલિસી તેમજ સ્ટાર્ટ અપ નીતિ તથા જીટીયુના ટેકનોલોજી વિષયક અન્ય કાર્યક્રમોની રૂપરેખા દર્શાવતું પ્રેઝન્ટેશન પણ રજૂ કરવામાં આવશે. નોંધપાત્ર બાબત એ છે કે જ્યારે ભારતમાં કોઈએ સ્ટાર્ટ અપનો વિચાર પણ કર્યો ન હતો, તે વખતથી વર્ષ 2010થી જીટીયુ ઈનોવેશન કાઉન્સિલ સ્ટાર્ટ અપ તાલીમ કાર્યક્રમો ચલાવે છે.
જીટીયુ ઈનોવેશન કાઉન્સિલ તરફથી કૉલેજોને વિદ્યાર્થીઓના ઈનોવેટીવ પ્રોજેક્ટોને યોગ્ય મંચ મળે એવી વ્યવસ્થા કરવાનું કહેવામાં આવ્યું હતું. તેને ધ્યાનમાં રાખીને એન્જીનિયરીંગની ડિગ્રી-ડિપ્લોમા સહિતની 100થી વધુ કૉલેજોએ ઈનોવેશન ફેર અને ઓપન હાઉસ યોજ્યા હતા. જેમાં અંદાજે પાંચ હજારથી વધારે વિદ્યાર્થીઓએ ભાગ લઈને પોતાના 1500 ઈનોવેટીવ પ્રોજેક્ટો રજૂ કર્યા હતા. તેની સમીક્ષા ઉદ્યોગજગત અને શિક્ષણજગતના નિષ્ણાતોએ કરી હતી. આ કાર્યક્રમો ઉત્સાહપૂર્વક હાથ ધરનાર કૉલેજોનું રાષ્ટ્રીય ટેકનોલોજી દિવસ નિમિત્તે સન્માન કરવામાં આવશે.
