GTU Centralized Pharmacy Placement Fair attracts 530 students on day 1

Ahmedabad: Sixth Centralized Pharmacy Placement Fair of Gujarat Technological University (GTU) attracted 530 students on day 1. Total 30 Pharma companies participated in the Campus placement. GTU expects 30 more companies to take part in the job fair. Thus around 60 companies are bringing 820 jobs whereas 800 students from 70 pharmacy colleges are available.

Mr. Viranchi Shah, Chairman of Indian Drug Manufacturers Association addressed students in the event and said that GTU has provided you an opportunity to directly interact with industries. You can get knowledge anywhere, but any institution that provides right solution of your problem is the right university. Such placement fairs shows expectations of industries to academia. In fact, industry wants soft skills in students vis-à-vis good marks. So be practical.

Dr. Jaimin Vasa of GCCI told the gathering that looking at the fast pace of growth of pharma sector, we can hope that employment opportunities will increase many fold in pharmacy industry in coming years. India is 6th largest pharma manufacturer country. India is exporting pharma products in 200 countries. India will be on 3rd position in terms of manufacturing of generic medicines. In near future there will be more demand in R & D, Regulatory, Quality, IPR like jobs in pharmacy sector. Especially demand will increase for MBA students having pharma degree. The job will be challenging, but there will be high salary and growth opportunities also.

Major Pharma companies which are going to take part are Zydus Cadila, Torrent Pharmaceutical Limited, Lincoln Pharmaceuticals Ltd., Amneal Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd., IPCA Laboratories Ltd, Troikaa Pharmaceuticals Ltd, Novo Nordisk India Private Ltd, Emcure Pharmaceuticals Ltd, Aculife Healthcare Pvt. Ltd. (NirLife), GVK EMRI, Bharat Parentral Ltd., Liva Pharmaceuticals Ltd, Planet Health, Finecure Pharmaceuticals Ltd., Mercury Laboratories Limited, HCG Multispecialty Hospital, Medkart pharmacy etc. The job offers made in following areas by various Pharmaceutical and Health care Companies Production, Marketing, Research & Development, Formulation & Development, IPR, Quality Control and Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, Registered Pharmacist (Medical Store), Medical Coding – Medical Writing – Medical Transcription – Medical Billing, Distribution – Logistics – Purchase – Store – Inventory – Project, Teaching – Academics etc.

In inaugural session, Pharma academic experts Dr.C.J.Shishoo, Ex- Director of B.V. Patel Pharmaceutical Education and Research Development (PERD) Centre and Dr. M.C. Gohel from L.M. College of Pharmacy, Ahmedabad and Dr. Bipin J. Bhatt, Registrar of GTU as well as IPR expert Padmin Buch presented their point of views. Mr. Buch said that if you think good and do good of your company, that will become in interest of you also. Please try to give more than expectations of company, which selects you for job. Always try to learn new skills. This is the age of multi-tasking. Although Prof. (Dr) Navin Sheth, Vice Chancellor of GTU was out of city, he gave message to the gathering that placement scenario has been changed since last 4 years due to efforts from GTU. Now more and more students are thinking to take admission in pharmacy courses. Industries are also supporting to GTU in this cause.

Dr. Manish Rachchh, Director (R & D) and CEO of Accupre Labs told the gathering what situation was there in pharma industry before the year 2014 and what the current situation is in the sector. જીટીયુના કેન્દ્રીય ફાર્મસી નોકરી ભરતી મેળામાં પહેલા જ દિવસે 530 વિદ્યાર્થીઓએ ભાગ લીધો

ફાર્મસી ઉદ્યોગના ઝડપી વિકાસને ધ્યાનમાં લેતા રોજગારીની ઉજ્જવળ તકોની આશા

અમદાવાદઃ ગુજરાત ટેકનોલોજીકલ યુનિવર્સિટી (જીટીયુ) તરફથી ચાંદખેડા કેમ્પસમાં છઠ્ઠા સેન્ટ્રલાઈઝ ફાર્મસી પ્લેસમેન્ટ ફેર એટલે કે નોકરી ભરતી મેળાનો આજથી પ્રારંભ થયો છે. પહેલા જ દિવસે 530 વિદ્યાર્થીઓએ ભાગ લીધો હતો. આજે કુલ ત્રીશ કંપનીઓ જીટીયુના ચાંદખેડા કેમ્પસમાં આવી હતી અને વિદ્યાર્થીઓના ઈન્ટરવ્યુ લીધા હતા. આવતીકાલે વધુ ત્રીશ કંપનીઓ આવશે, જ્યારે વિદ્યાર્થીઓ 450 આસપાસ આવવાની શક્યતા છે. આમ બે દિવસમાં 60 કંપનીઓ 820 જોબ ઑફરો લાવી રહી છે, ત્યારે તેની સામે જીટીયુ સંલગ્ન 70 કૉલેજોના 800 વિદ્યાર્થીઓ જ ઉપલબ્ધ છે.

ઈન્ડિયન ડ્રગ મેન્યુફેક્ચરર્સ એસોસિયેશનના ચેરમેન વિરાંચી શાહે વિદ્યાર્થીઓને સંબોધતા જણાવ્યું હતું કે જીટીયુએ તમને બધાને ઉદ્યોગો સાથે સીધો સંપર્ક કરવાની આ એક તક પૂરી પાડી છે. જ્ઞાન તો ઘણું મળી રહે પણ જ્યાંથી સમસ્યાઓનું સમાધાન મળે એજ સાચી યુનિવર્સિટી. આવા નોકરી ભરતી મેળાથી ઉદ્યોગજગત શું ઈચ્છે છે તેનો પણ અંદાજ મળે છે. હકીકતમાં અત્યારે માર્કની સાથોસાથ સોફ્ટ સ્કીલ પણ વિદ્યાર્થીઓમાં હોય એવી અપેક્ષા ઉદ્યોગો રાખે છે. પ્રેકટીકલ બનો.

વૈશ્વિક ફાર્મા હબ

ગુજરાત ચેમ્બર ઑફ કોમર્સ એન્ડ ઈન્ડસ્ટ્રીઝ સાથે સંકળાયેલા ડૉ. જૈમીન વસાએ જણાવ્યું હતું કે ફાર્મસી ઉદ્યોગના ઝડપથી થઈ રહેલા વિકાસને ધ્યાનમાં લેતા આગામી સમયમાં ફાર્મામાં રોજગારીની તકોના પ્રમાણમાં ઘણો વધારો થવાની સંભાવના છે. ભારત વિશ્વમાં છઠ્ઠા નંબરનો સૌથી મોટાપાયે દવાનું ઉત્પાદન કરતો દેશ છે. 200 દેશોમાં ભારતમાં ઉત્પાદિત દવાઓની નિકાસ થાય છે. વર્ષ 2018માં જેનરિક દવાઓના ઉત્પાદનની બાબતમાં ભારત ત્રીજા નંબરનું સ્થાન ધરાવતો થઈ જશે. અત્યારે ભારત વૈશ્વિક ફાર્મા હબ બન્યું છે. આગામી સમયમાં રિસર્ચ અને ડેવલપમેન્ટ, રેગ્યુલેટરી, ક્વૉલિટી, આઈપીઆર વગેરે જેવી નોકરીઓમાં તકો વધશે. ખાસ કરીને ફાર્મસી ડિગ્રી સાથે એમબીએ ધરાવનારાઓની ડિમાન્ડ વધશે. તેઓને ઉંચા વેતનની નોકરી મળતી થશે. અલબત્ત તે નોકરીમાં પડકારજનક કામગીરી રહેશે, પણ તેમાં પ્રગતિની સંભાવના વધારે રહેશે.

મોટી કંપનીઓ, વૈવિધ્યસભર નોકરીઓ

આ વર્ષના ફાર્મસી નોકરી ભરતી મેળામાં ઝાયડસ કેડિલા, ટોરેન્ટ ફાર્મા, લિંકન ફાર્મા, એમનીલ ફાર્મા, ઈપ્કા લેબ, ટ્રોઈકા ફાર્મા, 108 સેવા આપતી જીવીકે ઈએમઆરઆઈ, બાયોકોન, પ્લેનેટ હેલ્થ, એચસીજી હૉસ્પિટલ સહિતની મોટી કંપનીઓ પણ ભાગ લઈ રહી છે. તેમાં ફાર્મસીમાં ડિપ્લોમા, ડિગ્રી અને અનુસ્નાતક પદવી ધરાવતા વિદ્યાર્થીઓને આવરી લેવામાં આવશે. કંપનીઓ તરફથી જે જોબ ઑફર કરવામાં આવનાર છે, તેમાં પ્રોડક્શન, રિસર્ચ એન્ડ ડેવલપમેન્ટ, ફોરમ્યુલેશન એન્ડ ડેવલપમેન્ટ, આઈપીઆર, કવૉલિટી કંટ્રોલ અને ક્વૉલિટી એસ્યોરન્સ, રેગ્યુલેટરી અફેર્સ, રજીસ્ટર઼્ ફાર્મસીસ્ટ (મેડિકલ સ્ટોર), મેડિકલ કોડીંગ, મેડિકલ રાઈટીંગ, મેડિકલ ટ્રાન્સ્ક્રીપ્શન, મેડિકલ બિલીંગ, ડિસ્ટ્રીબ્યુશન, લોજીસ્ટીક્સ, પરચેઝ – સ્ટોર, શૈક્ષણિક વગેરે પદોનો સમાવેશ થાય છે.

આ પ્રસંગે આઈપીઆર નિષ્ણાત પદ્મીન બુચ, ફાર્મસી શિક્ષણના ધુરંધરો ડૉ. સી.જે.શીશુ, ડૉ. એમ.સી ગોહેલ અને જીટીયુના રજીસ્ટ્રાર બિપીન જે. ભટ્ટે પ્રાસંગિક વક્તવ્યો આપ્યા હતા. પદ્મીન બુચે વિદ્યાર્થીઓને કહ્યું હતું કે તમે નોકરી દરમિયાન જે કંઈ કરો તે કંપનીના હિતમાં હોય એ જ કરજો તો કંપનીનું ભલું થશે અને તમારૂં પણ સારૂં થશે. કંપનીની અપેક્ષા કરતા કંઈને કંઈ વધારે આપવાનો પ્રયાસ કરો. સતત કૌશલ્યોમાં વધારો થાય એવા પ્રયાસો કરો. અત્યારે જમાનો મલ્ટીટાસ્કીંગનો છે, તે પ્રમાણે કામગીરી બજાવતા રહો. જીટીયુની 70 ફાર્મસી કૉલેજોના સાથસહકારથી છેલ્લા ચાર વર્ષથી યોજવામાં આવી રહેલા આવા નોકરી ભરતી મેળાને કારણે પરિસ્થિતિ પલટાઈ છે. હવે રોજગારીની તકો વધતા ફાર્મસીના કોર્સ પ્રત્યે વિદ્યાર્થીઓનું આકર્ષણ વધ્યું છે. ફાર્મસી ઉદ્યોગની કંપનીઓ પણ જીટીયુને સારો સહયોગ આપી રહી છે, એમ જીટીયુના વાઈસ ચાન્સેલર પ્રો. (ડૉ) નવીન શેઠે પોતાના સંદેશામાં જણાવ્યું હતું.

જીટીયુના ફાર્મસી વિભાગના ઈન્ચાર્જ રહી ચૂકેલા અને હાલમાં એક્યુપ્રેક લેબ્સના ડિરેક્ટર તથા સીઈઓ ડૉ. મનિષ રાચ્છે એવી માહિતી આપી હતી કે સેન્ટ્રલાઈઝ ફાર્મસી પ્લેસમેન્ટ ફેરની શરૂઆત વર્ષ 2014થી થઈ ત્યારે 382 વિદ્યાર્થીઓને નોકરી મળી હતી, કાળક્રમે તેમાં દર વર્ષે વધારો થતો રહ્યો છે. પછીના વર્ષે 380 વિદ્યાર્થીઓને નોકરી પ્રાપ્ત થઈ હતી. ત્યારબાદ વર્ષ 2016માં 598 વિદ્યાર્થીઓને નોકરી મળી હતી. ફાર્મા કંપનીઓ, હૉસ્પિટલો, સરકારીતંત્ર વગેરેમાં ફાર્મસીની ડિમાન્ડ સતત એટલા પ્રમાણમાં વધતી રહી છે કે અમારે નોકરી ભરતી મેળા બાદ પૂરક પ્લેસમેન્ટ ફેર યોજવા પડ્યા છે. જીટીયુના ફાર્મસી વિભાગના ઈન્ચાર્જ અમિત પટેલે કાર્યક્રમના પ્રારંભે બધાનું સ્વાગત કર્યું હતું. આભારવિધિ સિગ્મા ગ્રુપ ઑફ ઈન્સ્ટીટ્યુટ્સના ડૉ. યુ.એમ. ઉપાધ્યાયે કરી હતી.
