GTU incubated 3 innovative Start-up projects won prizes worth Rs. 36 Lakh

Ahmedabad: In Vibrant Gujarat Startup Summit 2018, Gujarat Technological University (GTU) incubated 3 startups were selected in top 16 projects under the Scale up category. The 3 innovative projects won the award of Prize money of Rs. 12 Lakh each. The awards were distributed by Hon. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Nitinbhai Patel to Kaustubh Mod for his Mod Innovation LLP start-up, Manan Patel and Anjil Jain for his Vinspire Agrotech project and Dhaval Patel and Deep Lodhari for their innovative start up All That Dips.

Government of Gujarat hosted a three-day event as a forerunner to the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit in January 2019.  Hon’ble Chief Minister of Gujarat Shri Vijaybhai Rupani inaugurated the summit in the presence of other dignitaries from the Government, Business Leaders, Economists, Academicians, Policymakers and Industry Stalwarts. In the mega event, Grand Challenge Competition was held among Start-up projects. Prizes of Rs. 3 Crore was announced in 3 categories: Idea stage, Blooming stage and Scale up stage. Prof.(Dr) Navin Sheth, Vice Chancellor of GTU congratulated the 3 teams and said that GTU Innovation Council is mentoring Start-up and innovative ideas of the students. To strengthen the ecosystem, GTU has started Regional centres at Rajkot, Surat and Vadodara besides present centre at Ahmedabad. I wish more and more such awards may be won by the innovators. I also want to congratulate the team of mentors and GIC team working under the guidance of Hiranmay Mahanta, Director of GIC.

GTU incubated Start-ups

(1) AllThatDips

All products at Start-up project AllThatDips are made with the natural ingredients. (2) MOD INNOVATION LLP

MOD INNOVATION LLP has develop a machine which can do all major operations of Civil-Constructions line  which are doing manually, like Cement Plaster, Waterproofing, Wall Putty, Gypsum Plaster, Fireproofing, Paint etc. This machine can give 10 times higher out puts with quality than existing manual. This is very unique innovative solution for modern construction and Infrastructure Industries, which will change the scenario.

(3) VINSPIRE AGROTECH (I) PRIVATE LIMITED

VINSPIRE AGROTECH (I) PRIVATE LIMITED is fully engaged in development of Manual range of Agriculture Advance tools. They have developed different innovative farming equipment which will replace conventional farming and back-breaking methods. With the help of their device farmers will increase its productivity and save time and money.

Inaugural Session:

Delivering his inaugural address, he dubbed it as the biggest summit of its kind with 40 global leaders providing guidance in day-to-day challenges. He said that Gujarat led in announcing Start-up Policy, having approved 184 start-ups, backed by over 60 universities and 1,000 educational institutes to benefit lakhs of students. Gujarat now plans to promote 2,000 new enterprises in the state with an investment of Rs.7,000-crore by 2021. The market value of Indian start-up sector is estimated to be USD 20 billion.



He recalled it was Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s initiative to give importance to Make in India and Start-up India models, providing an opportunity through simplification, handholding, funding support and incentive partnership between industry and academia.

Mr. Rupani called on youth start-ups to upgrade technology with changing times through determination, innovation and exchange of ideas. He exuded confidence that democratic dividend would usher in a start-up revolution, making India Global Guru.

Canada’s Consul and Trade Commissioner in Mumbai Chad Hensler wished the summit would strengthen economic relation between Canada and Gujarat.


Nasscom President Debjani Ghosh said that business acumen is in the DNA of Gujarati people. She said they would lead the country by encouraging new talents by combining new ideas and innovations with technology.


Tech Mahindra CEO C.P. Gurnani said that Gujarat has the potential to be the new start-up capital of India. Gujarat Chief Secretary J.N. Singh said the present Start-up and Technology Summit linked to Eco System assumes special significance. He said the Summit would provide a platform for NextGen new ideas and innovative solutions for various sectors like agriculture, health and education. He said that one-third of entries for the Rs.3-crore prizes announced by the Gujarat Government came from Gujarat alone. Gujarat is capable of contributing to one-tenth of development in IT Sector. MoU was signed between Yes Bank and GIDC Gujarat Government for providing incentive to entrepreneurs.


The dignitaries released a coffee table book on “Agrim Gujarati’ and ‘Startup Gujarat’ and a Indo-Swiss block chain developed by Swiss-based Technology Group. Those present on the occasion included GESIA IT Associations’ Vivek Ogra, Sweden Consul General. Those present on the occasion included GESIA IT Association’s Vivek Ogra, Sweden Consul General in Mumbai Ulrika Sundberg, Gujarat’s Additional Chief Secretary for Finance Arvind Agrawal, Chief Minister’s Principal Secretary M.K. Das, GIDC Vice-Chairman & MD D. Thara, Industries Commissioner Mamta Verma, officers and entrepreneurs from different parts of the country. The e-Mitra Robot delivered the welcome address. FICCI Gujarat State Council Chairman Rajiv Vatupal proposed a vote of thanks.
