GTU joins hands with US institute for latest training courses on 3D Printing technology

Ahmedabad: Gujarat Technological University (GTU) has signed MoU with US based organization U.S Institute of 3D Technology (USI3DT) on 25th Sept. 2018 at GTU Chandkheda Campus. Dr. S.D. Panchal, I/c Registrar of GTU & Dr. Yogi Gandhi, CEO of USI3DT signed the MoU.

Key objective of collaboration is:  Recognizing the importance of research and development in the area of 3D Printing Technology, as well as imparting industrial training to the engineering students. USi3DT shall offer various certificate programs to GTU students in field of 3D printing in workshop mode. They are planning to bring mobile 3D printers form US to Gujarat and through them, students and faculties will get hands-on practical training on 3d printing technology, Prof.(Dr) Navin Sheth, Vice Chancellor of GTU said.

The objective of USI3DT is to impart education and training to students as well as professionals from various industries to maintain the pace with the technology of the future. Our mission is to make ready the Indian youth for the ongoing technological revolution. Our vision is to see India as the largest skilled workforce provider in the field of 3D Printing Technology worldwide. The participants will be exposed to various industrial problems in manufacturing and will be encouraged to find 3D printing solution for the same. Focus will be to encourage developing creative thinking and critical reasoning skills, Dr. Yogi Gandhi, CEO of USI3DT said.
