GTU Motorsports team won 2nd Rank and prizes of Rs.1.30 lakh in Supra SAEINDIA held at Buddh International Circuit, Greater Noida from 11th June to 16th June, 2018.
Prof. (Dr.) Navin Sheth, Vice Chancellor of GTU said that GTU has received 2nd rank in the overall competition and 1st rank in the endurance test ( Car Race) and has been awarded the cash price of INR 1lac for 2nd Rank and INR 30k for 1st rank in Endurance test. There were brand new car concepts pushing the boundaries of innovation and technology, and are developed entirely by engineering students under specific set of regulations.
The enthusiastic young boys and girls from across the length and breadth of the country have participated in the grand gathering. A total of 112 teams have competed on full-force at the Supra SAEIndia 2018 and the field promised to be the most thrilling and exciting yet – they have indeed delivered. A record setting field with more than 3,000 engineering students Participated in the event. 48 colleges from across the country joined for the first time. The elite adjudicators’ panel comprised of automotive specialists with 4 eminent experts from Germany and 70 experts from the India automotive industry.
