GTU signs MoU with NASSCOM to share knowledge in engineering & technology

Ahmedabad: Gujarat Technological University (GTU) and National Association of Software and Service Companies (NASSCOM) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance academic and intellectual interaction relating to Technical and Professional academic domains.

Dr Chetan Samant- Regional Head, West Region & Executive Director, IT-ITeS Sector Skills Council NASSCOM and Shri J.C. Lilani, I/c Registrar of GTU today signed the MoU during inaugural session of International Conclave on Higher Education: Quality, Governance & Innovation held at Mahatma Gandhi Mandir, Gandhinagar. Under the MoU both the organizations agreed to enter into wide ranging partnership for joint research and consultancy, workshops, seminars, conferences, training, publications and exchange of resource persons.

Under the MoU, both the organizations will develop long term strategies and action plan. Both organizations will promote exchange of faculty, research and skills training resource persons for skill training, guest lectures, joint research projects related to Engineering and Technological Sciences. Both the organizations will permit the use of equipment and resources for joint research, education and skill development.

GTU is playing active role in the Conclave. Dr. Rajul K Gajjar, I/c Vice Chancellor of GTU will act as session moderator in the session about “Best Practices in Governance – Learning from World Class Universities.” The session will be held during later this afternoon. The session will be chaired by Prof Souvik Bhattacharyya, Vice Chancellor of BITS Pilani.
