GTU WINTER SCHOOL PROGRAM hosted 7 students from 5 countries

Ahmedabad: Department of International Relations – Gujarat Technological University’s (GTU) conducted student exchange program on large scale and every year 400 + students are benefitted through same and similarly Department of International Relations – GTU has initiated Winter School Program for inviting foreign students to visit GTU and Gujarat for gaining the academic insights and experiencing the socio – cultural environment of country.

Winter School Program – 2019 organized from 11th February 2019 to 24rd February 2019 wherein total 7 students have participated in program out of which 2 students were from Poland, 1 from Russia, 1 from Turkey, 1 from Uzbekistan and 2 from Afghanistan. All these students are pursuing MBA in International Business at their respective institutes, Prof.(Dr) Navin Sheth, Vice Chancellor of GTU said.

During the Winter School Program these students have studied about the exploring the business opportunities in the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) between Gujarat v/s their country through the professors of GTU’s Graduate School of Management Studies. They also attended Hindi language classes. As a part of visit, they visited SHILP GRAVURES LIMITED located at Gandhinagar as an Industry visit.

In addition to these academic activities they have visited a Punsari village which is recognized as smart village of Gujarat for observing the progress of villages of India. For providing them a socio – cultural experience, the volunteers of Management school – GTU the students have took the students to heritage walk, historical monuments of Ahmedabad and for a traditional Gujarati food.

As Statue of Unity has emerged as new tourist attraction and a place were visitor can learn about our great freedom fighter Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the entire group of students have also visited statue of Unity as a part of whole day trip.

In the duration of 2 weeks, the students have learned about the international trade opportunities between their countries and Gujarat and experienced the rich vibrant culture and social diversity of the state of Gujarat. They have provided the feedback that they are bringing this knowledge and beautiful memories back to their country and by this way, GTU, Gujarat and India will always be cherished among them, their friends & family members and professional peers. This exchange program has also provided great opportunity for the universities to strengthen their academic cooperation.
