Gujarat Technological University, a University of excellence, inspiring value-based education, research and development, conducted an Orientation programme for its Post Graduate students pursuing M. E. and M.Pharma courses. The orientation was facilitated by GTU-School of Engineering & Technology and GTU- Graduate School of Pharmacy.
The Orientation programme was inaugurated by Prof. Navin Seth, Vice Chancellor, GTU. Also present were Dr. G.P Vadodaria, Dean-Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Subodh Adesera – Former Commissioner FDAC, Dr. S.D Panchal, Registrar, GTU, Dr. R.H Parikh, Director, GTU-GSP, Dr. Markand Karkare, Director, GTU-SET and other senior faculty members. It was attended by a number of students from diverse M. E (Cyber Security and Mobile Communication and Network Technology) & M.Pharm( Drug Regulatory Affairs) courses in fields of Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication and Pharmacy. Currently, the Engineering Institute has 30 seats for Cyber Security course, 30 seats for Mobile Communication and Network Technology Course. Pharmacy institute consists of 15 seats for Drug Regulatory Affairs course.
The experienced faculty of Gujarat Technological University shared valuable information upon the respective industry norms with the students. The latter also received a detailed explanation on the prospect of M.E and M.pharm courses with the specialization which are in demand for future needs. They were briefed upon the multi-dimensional aspects of each programme both on the academic as well as industrial interest.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Navin Seth, Vice Chancellor, GTU said, “We extend a warm welcome to our fresh batch of students pursuing M.E and M.Pharm courses. GTU is committed to providing excellent educational opportunities and a world-class experience in its variety of courses. We provide a diverse range of research projects under our Research and Technology Development Centre. Our faculty brings with it many years of academic and industry experience that invariably helps our students whether they join industry or pursue a research course after their postgraduate courses.”
Dr. G.P Vadodaria, Dean-Faculty of Engineering gave a beautiful concept of ‘Triple H” in which the students are advised to work with Head, Hand and Heart for the bright carrier.
Dr. S.D panchal, Registrar,GTU as having background of Computer Engineering discussed the importance and opportunities in the field of Cyber Security. Other than academics, he motivates the students to participate in co-curricular activities.
Dr. Subodh Adesera, Former Commissioner, FDAC, said, “It is a pleasure to conduct this orientation programme for the new students. GTU -Drug Regulatory Affairs course is very popular in the country and in high demand for future as to register the product to export in different countries, there are different norms and a lot of hard work is required to do the activity which will result in a good placement. Also, the research and development activities or projects that students undertake at the university are unmatchable. They get expert guidance from different industries and research labs.
The GTU- School of Engineering & Technology and GTU-Graduate School of Pharmacy at Gujarat Technological University has been established to perform cutting-edge research in the frontier areas of Engineering and Pharmacy. The institutes are equipped with different facilities and work in collaboration with various institutions of repute both at the national and international level. The current activities which are being pursued at the institutes focus on multidisciplinary aspects and many of them are being supported by the Government of India.
