The Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII) will provide the lessons of Management and Business to the innovator students of Gujarat Technological University (GTU). This was announced by Dr Sunil Sukla, Director EDII. He was speaking in GTU central techfest hosted by Vishwakarma Government Engineering College.
He inaugurated the Startup Street, which was planned to promote the culture of innovation and Entrepreneurship. Total 36 Innovators exhibited their Products during techfest in the Startup Street. Prof.(Dr) Navin Sheth, Vice Chancellor of GTU, Shri Sunil Ambekar, co-ordinator of Think India, Dr. Bapat from IIT-Delhi and Shri Hitesh Shankar, editor of Panchjanya were present on the occasion.
GTU Innovation council also organized TechPitch and IDP Expo to provide the extended support to Innovators in terms of Mentoring, Co-working space, Networking Support, Product design support and financial Assistance. Till date GIC has reviewed almost 700 plus Innovators through their four regional Centre at Ahmedabad, Surat, Rajkot and Vadodara. In growth stage category GIC has supported 73 Startups and funded around Rs. 1.96 crore to 24 Startups through Startup Assistance scheme of Industries Department.
