Total 22 teams pitched their innovative idea at GTU Incubation’s Start up Clinic

Start-ups from Rajkot, Baroda, Surat and Ahmedabad were present to showcase their Innovative product idea

Ahmedabad: Gujarat Technological University (GTU) Innovation Council has organized Start-up Clinic at GIC Block 6, LDCE, Ahmedabad Last week. In this session 40 Start-ups founders and Innovators gathered to get insights of Start-up Gujarat Nodal Institute scheme. The shortlisted Start-ups will be called final round of the screening soon. The purpose of start-up clinic program was to create awareness of Entrepreneurship and Innovation among Start-up founders and Innovators.

In this Session GIC invited applicants from Start-up Gujarat Nodal Institute Policy for level zero screening and introduction session. The participants for Start-up clinic program was from 18 to 65 age group. In this program all Start-ups from Rajkot, Baroda, Surat and Ahmedabad were present to showcase their Innovative product idea. GTU is one of the nodal institute were Grants of up-to Rs 10 Lac is allotted to innovators for finalizing the prototype. On the second stage grants up-to Rs 10 Lac is given for marketing of the products, Prof. (Dr.) Navin Sheth, Vice Chancellor of GTU said.

Start-up Clinic is one of the foremost event of the GTU Innovation Council where Idealization and early stages start-ups are invited to get familiar with Start-up terminologies and the Start-up Gujarat Nodal Institute policy. Start-up clinic is designed for future entrepreneurs to get insights of the start-up ecosystem. The main objective of this session is to introduce the basic requirements for starting up new venture. In this Start-up clinic the focused areas which gets covered are as follows:

  1. Hands on Business Model Canvas

  2. Pitching Strategies

  3. Level Zero Start-up Screening

After the Brief introduction about the program one to one screening and mentoring Session begin. Four panel-list were present for the screening of the new Start-up ideas. The Judging Panel-list were from Design, Management, Electronics and Mechanical background to evaluate the feasibility of Innovative Start-ups. 22 teams pitched their Start-up idea in the form of presentation in front of all the panel-list.
