Zimbabwe Government invites GTU to inculcate latest tech-skills in students

Ahmedabad: Government of Zimbabwe has invited Gujarat Technological University (GTU) to inculcate the latest technological skills in students and also train faculty members. 14 – Member delegation of Zimbabwe visited GTU Chandkheda campus and discuss the strategy. GTU and Government of Zimbabwe will sign MoU and start executing the activities.

GTU has proposed to offer the short term and long term training to mentioned groups as per their requirement, admission to students in bachelor, master and Ph.D program, offering online certificate program and also facilitating information sharing to the investors of Gujarat in few promising sectors like Latest Technology, Pharmaceuticals, Diamond Processing to establish the production facilities at Zimbabwe with the support of government, Prof. (Dr.) Navin Sheth, Vice Chancellor of GTU said.

The delegation of Zimbabwe was led by Dr. C. C. Mushohwe, Executive Director, Presidential and National Scholarship, Govt. of Zimbabwe. The Consular from Embassy of Zimbabwe, New Delhi has also visited as a part of delegation. Government of Zimbabwe is focusing on the enhancement of technical skill for its professionals, officials and students. As a technological university, GTU is having very strong intellectual know how for enhancing the skills in area of engineering, IT, pharmaceutical science, bio-technology, cyber security, diamond processing etc. So, the core agenda of discussion was – how GTU can help the government of Zimbabwe for skill up gradation, exchange of students and faculties, training to the professionals in various sector etc.
